Why not gemma 3 but gemma 2?

and just out of curiosity, why Gemma 2 and not Gemma 3? Was Gemma 3 not released yet when you were working on this? Just wondered if there is any specific reason.

First of all, thanks a lot for your comment. When we started working on it, Gemma 3 hadn’t been released yet, so we went with Gemma 2 :)
Yep, and could we maybe call your next fine-tuned model a CoT model? I don’t need it personally, but there aren’t many models that can both think and understand Turkish well. As far as I know, only Mistral have model and Trendyol have fine tuned qwen 3 8b model though I haven’t tested them yet.

We’re actually working on exactly that. Our goal is to build a model that can reason well and truly understands Turkish. A fine-tuned CoT-style model for Turkish might be coming soon
