| experiment proposal: short Lion follow-up from prior result. Change only block Lion hparams to lr=0.0003, wd=0.05, betas=(0.9,0.99), same 250-step warmup and unchanged auxiliary AdamW groups. Goal is to test whether higher update magnitude and lower decay preserve Lion's early advantage through step 1000. I will stop early if it is behind the prior Lion run or clearly behind AdamW. | |
