When using Middle Frame and Last Frame there is flickering at the seam.
When using Middle Frame and Last Frame there is a very noticeable 1 second flickering at the transition point where the reference image is eased into. It looks like a trippy motion blur effect where you can see the motion trail of the character/camera movement. This happens with both the First Last Injection and the First Last Guider workflows. I'm using a Start Frame and a Middle Frame, and sometimes a Last Frame; Start Frame is always fine.
I can't seem to figure out the cause of this. I've disabled any custom LORAs. I also tried using a generic First-Last workflow from Civitai and there was no flickering (though the fidelity and modularity of the workflow is inferior to these RuneXX workflows).
It's basically almost perfect if not for that brief flickering.
The noticeable flickering can be a side effect of frame injection. Its very "strict" (it inject a frame), and the model cant always get it to it and then follow smoothly.
So the solution would be to lower the strength, for example if its middle frame set it as low as 0.5.
Or better, use the guider version, that only guides the model, but leaves more freedom for the model to do its things ;-)
With the guider workflow there shouldnt be any flickering
(tempted to remove the injection one, and leave that only for first last frame, or at least i should update it with new strength values that are a bit more "safe", like 0.7, 0.5, 0.7 )
Try these values:
Or, try this one:
LTX-2.3_-_FML2V_First_Middle_Last_Frame_Guider.json
https://huggingface.co/RuneXX/LTX-2.3-Workflows/tree/main/First-Last-Frame
See if that works better ;-) it should
i think i will update all of the frame workflows real soon, its among the oldest ones in the collection.. and a few things have been learned by experience since (like the strength of image inputs)
add some improvements to them all asap, including setting safer strength, prompt enhancer, etc
