| Hello sailors! | |
| This archive includes Inform 5.5 (v1502) for the Amiga. Please note: | |
| 1) The archive includes only the Inform executable -- you still need | |
| library files, documentation, examples, etc. Of course they're are | |
| available by anonymous FTP from ftp.gmd.de (and its mirrors) in the | |
| directories: | |
| /if-archive/infocom/compilers/inform/library | |
| /if-archive/infocom/compilers/inform/manuals | |
| /if-archive/infocom/compilers/inform/examples | |
| 2) The sources (as found on ftp.gmd.de) were compiled using SAS/C 6.55 | |
| and the resulting executable is a vanilla 68000 one -- that is, not | |
| optimized for 68020 or better CPUs. | |
| 3) Being just a beginner Informer, I'm unable to test Inform v1502 for | |
| the Amiga extensively. However, I've successfully compiled all the | |
| examples available and they seem to be running properly. | |
| 4) Last, but not least, I really want to thank (just in alphabetical | |
| order): | |
| Graham Nelson: Inform, Curses and the forthcoming Jigsaw, | |
| a V8 story game -- no less! ;-) | |
| Gareth Rees: The Inform programming page | |
| http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/users/gdr11/inform/ | |
| (take a look at his great tutorial!) | |
| Christopher A. Wichura: Amiga port | |
| Enjoy! | |
