Leadlight is programmed in 8-bit Applesoft BASIC and assembly language. To play
it on a modern Mac or PC involves running it in an Apple II emulator.

If you have played lots of interactive fiction, please note that Leadlight uses
a two word parser: (VERB) (NOUN)

This download package includes:

- Two preconfigured ActiveGS emulator+game packs, one for Intel Mac users and
one for PC users
- The Leadlight Player Guide PDF (a complete illustrated game manual)
- The Leadlight Hint Sheet PDF (for if you get stuck)

To use one of the emulator packs, simply open the relevant directory for your
system (ActiveGS_Mac or ActiveGS_PC) and double-click the 'ActiveGS'
application inside it to run the game.

** Note that Mac users of PPC or older model Macs cannot use the ActiveGS
emulator pack supplied here. If this is you, just visit the Leadlight website

For users of all systems... you can also play the game online using one of two
browser-based Apple II emulators at http://leadlightgame.com. However, for Mac
users of PPC and older model Macs, it isn't possible at this time to save your
game when playing online (sorry again!) so if this is you, playing offline with
the Sweet16 Apple IIGS emulator is the recommended option.

If you already have an Apple IIGS emulator for your system, just take the
leadlight.2mg disk image out of either one of the emulator packs and run it in
your emulator of choice.
