| Invasion of the Angora Fetish Transvestites from the Graveyards of Jupiter - | |
| Instructions. | |
| This game has been tested to run under windows98/ windows Me/ windows NT. | |
| The file msvbvm60.dll is required for the game to run under win95. | |
| There is an optional soundtrack for the game, which comes with the resources file from the | |
| IF competition. No installation is needed but the files must be put in the same directory as the game. | |
| This is a list of some of the most common (and of the more obscure) commands in the game. | |
| Again, g,! : Repeat the last typed command | |
| And, & : String two actions together e.g.: [get the paper and read it] | |
| Buy, list, evaluate, sell :These commands are used in shops. Evaluate an item before you sell it to estimate its value. | |
| Eat, drink :Manipulate consumables | |
| Examine, x :Describe objects and characters for you. The examine command does | |
| not read written texts for you. | |
| Flee, escape :Attempt to flee from combat. If you manage to escape from your | |
| opponent, you leave the location in a random direction. | |
| Get, take, drop, put :Manipulate items and containers. E.g. [Take the coins], [drop the apple]. | |
| [Put everything into the bag], [get food from the bowl and eat it]. | |
| Give :Give object or money to character, e.g. [give the apple to Eve]. [give | |
| money to Adam], [pay baker] hands over a default 10 coins unless another deal has been made. | |
| Hide :Attempt to hide yourself from the NPCs. Your cover is blown by most | |
| active commands with the exception of [wield]. Informative commands | |
| such as [score] and [examine] do not reveal your presence. | |
| It :Refers to a previously handled object, e.g. [get the cake and eat it]. | |
| Open, close, lock :Manipulate doors and containers. Unlock is not used in the game, as the game automatically | |
| searches your inventory for the proper key. Syntax: [lock door] equals [close the door and lock it] | |
| Pour :Transfers liquids from one container into another, E.g. [pour the cup into the barrel], | |
| pour [container] out, empty [container]. | |
| Push, press :Push / press an object. E.g. [press button] | |
| Quests :List the number and status of the quests you have undertaken. | |
| Read :Read readable material | |
| Save / restore :Save / restore the current game. The saved game is overwritten only by another save, | |
| so you can restore repeatedly. Cannot be used during combat. | |
| Score / status :Gives information on your progress. | |
| Sleep / wake :Sleep makes the time go faster. Don't forget to wake up. | |
| Sneak :Works like the move command, but gives you a certain chance of being | |
| ignored by the NPCs. Syntax: [sneak north] or simply [sneak n]. | |
| If you are already hiding or sneaking, the next sneak move has a higher chance of success. | |
| Social :Toggles social-action display on and off, see below. Default setting is off | |
| Verbose, brief, ultrabrief : Sets the amount of details you get on each location. | |
| [verbose] gives you full room descriptions every time you enter a location. | |
| [brief] does likewise but only the first time you visit a location, while | |
| [ultrabrief] only does so when you use the [look] command. The default setting is verbose. | |
| Wear / remove : Slip into / out of -an item of clothing | |
| Wield / remove :Ready/ unready a weapon for combat | |
| Z, [return], look :Updates what you can see on the screen. | |
| Movement | |
| The game features movement in the 6 cardinal directions (N,S,E,W,UP,DOWN). You can move about by typing the desired | |
| direction, e.g. "go north", "north" or simply "n". You can also move about by pressing the directions on the on-screen | |
| compass. This method has the advantage of not overwriting your input-window. You can for instance pre-type lines such as : | |
| "Talk to Eve" and then use the compass buttons to look for the character. This will come in handy as the characters do not | |
| necessarily stick around and wait for you to type a command. | |
| Conversation | |
| You can talk to most of the characters in the game. Some will give you a quick brush-off while others are eager to engage | |
| in a conversation. Others still are reluctant at first, but will talk to you later in the game. The syntax for initiating | |
| conversation is: [talk to [character]]. You can then offer keywords to them, such as [name], [job] or subjects you think | |
| they might know something about. End conversation with [bye]. | |
| NPC interaction | |
| Some of the characters may be inclined to perform simple tasks for you. The syntax is: [character] [command] e.g. | |
| [Adam give the apple to Eve]. | |
| [jailer give me the key]. | |
| Other NPC actions include: [inventory], [eat/drink] | |
| Social action display | |
| When non-player characters meet, they respond according to their individual relationships. If they are on friendly terms | |
| for instance, they shake hands. This can be helpful to you in determining who gets along with whom, but too many friendly | |
| characters at your location result in a lot of shaking hands. You can toggle the [social] flag to switch on/off the | |
| non-essentials. Default setting is [off]. | |
| The Pause button | |
| There are many characters in the game and they move about and interact with you and with each other. When you are in a | |
| location with several acting characters, things can get quite busy and the screen may fill up faster than you can read. | |
| You can then press the "pause" button and scroll the window up and down to catch up with the latest events. The "pause" | |
| button is switched off when you are engaged in combat. If other characters are engaged in combat, you can push "pause" | |
| to request a break. The game will then stop once the combat is over. Push it again to resume the game. | |
