| Stowaway! (1988) | |
| text-only adventure, written with The Quill | |
| Escape to Freedom (1989) | |
| text-only adventure, written with The Quill | |
| Hotel Hell (1990) | |
| adventure with digitized graphics | |
| My House (1991) | |
| small joke game, text-only, written with The Quill | |
| All games were written in Australia by Mario Moeller. | |
| "Stowaway!", "Escape to Freedom", and "Hotel Hell" have been sold | |
| commercially but are now in the Public Domain. | |
| Using the disk images | |
| --------------------- | |
| All programs (except "My House") have been uploaded as disk images (.D64 | |
| files). There are many ways to transfer these images to real disks; | |
| check out the comp.emulators.cbm FAQ or do a WWW search. If you have | |
| access to a PC then the easiest way would be to hook up your 1541 to the | |
| PC using a custom-built cable. Several programs (most notably "Star | |
| Commander") will allow you to write the D64 disk image directly back to | |
| a C64 disk. Instructions for building the cable are usually included | |
| with the transfer program. | |
| Playing "Hotel Hell" with a C64 emulator: | |
| "Hotel Hell" uses a fastloader. To play it on a C64 emulator that | |
| does not support fastloaders, you can circumvent the fastloading | |
| routines by starting it with: | |
| LOAD "P2",8 | |
| POKE 320,5 | |
| RUN | |
| Reaching the author | |
| ------------------- | |
| If you have comments on the games, bugs to report, or questions to ask, | |
| you can reach the author, Mario Moeller, at <mmoeller@hotmail.com>. | |
| This address is valid as of February 1998 and will remain valid | |
| forever (or at least that's what they say). | |
| If you have any problems not directly related to the games you can mail | |
| me (Paul David Doherty) at <h0142kdd@rz.hu-berlin.de>. I will also try | |
| to help with problems in transfering the games to your C64. Please | |
| _don't_ mail Mario if you have emulator or transfer questions. | |
